This rare collectible captures the Beach Boys in the midst of their creative transformation, during the 'Pet Sounds' photoshoot at San Diego Zoo. An unreleased outtake, this limited edition print showcases the iconic album cover sequence featuring goats, as well as the band's evolving style. George Jerman's artistry captures each member's modernized look and pay homage to their emergence as trailblazers of the California music movement. Limited to ten hand-numbered prints, each signed by Brian Wilson, Mike Love, and Al Jardine, making it a one-of-a-kind item for any fan.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

GEORGE JERMAN

A Capitol Records staff photographer during the 50s and 60s, George Jerman was the lead photographer on The Beach Boys legendary album Pet Soundsat the San Diego Zoo on February 10th, 1966.

In addition, George shot the band for Stack O’ Tracks and a number of studio sessions for Beach Boys Party!, plus he assisted Ken Veeder at the Zuma Beach shoot in July 1967 that contributed images to Wild Honey.

George also photographed, among others, Glen Campbell, Bobby Darin, Merle Haggard, Lou Rawls and Nancy Wilson during his time at the label.

George was a lover of jazz and in the 1970s became a sound engineer on a number of live jazz albums, often working with Bob Edmondson of The Tijuana Brass and other notable musicians.
